Kei cars are Japanese cars with creative designs that meet strict size, displacement, and weight restrictions to qualify for tax, insurance, and parking benefits. How to get certified as a mechanic

The mechanic's certificates are intended for professionals who wish to become automotive technicians. They provide a comprehensive overview of all areas related to auto repair.

The program is composed of 12 hours classroom instruction and three month's on-the-job training at participating dealers. The semester must include at least 60 hours of classroom instruction and passing a written exam that includes theory and practice questions. Students may take the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence's state exam after completing the coursework.
